History of CA Rotoscoping

Here's my History of Computer Animation midterm project! I rotoscoped (traced frame by frame) a 5 second clip of the 1968 olympics floor gymnastics competition!

February Figure Drawing

Figure Drawings from our Anatomical Reduction unit. We had to take the model's pose, which remained the same for the whole class, and slowly simplify it with shorter time increments, starting with a realistic 1 hour pose and continuing to a fully stylized and cartoony 5 or 10 minute pose! Fun stuff! :)

Traditional Animation January

Figure Drawing II and Family Portrait

Some gestures and longer poses from Figure Drawing II. Our main concentration for this course is to capture the emotion and character of the subject by exaggerating their features. Emphasis is also placed on paying close attention to the anatomy of humans.

Finally, a family portrait I painted for my mummy for christmas. Done in a couple weeks in acrylic and gouache. My dad, me, my mom, and my dog!

Subaquatic Encounter

Final 2D design project for the semester! We had to create an abstract design, then make it into a representational one! So I decided to do a digital painting of a friendly sea serpent!

Perspective

My favorite pieces from my Drawing I class, (also known as perspective class). I'm working on my three point perspective piece now, but I'll add it to this post later on when it's fully rendered and WORTHY. (EDIT: I added it! I think it's worthy now!)
