For our most recent Figure II project we had to take some of the 15 minute character studies we'd done in class and revise them into complete illustrations of the character! These are my three, Amelia, Dennis and Yolanda!
yo, I've been meaning to ask you: how did you get that smoke effect on the second piece? Is there a science to it or is it just photos+low opacity brush?
Thanks Victor! What I did was I started off with a photoshop brush of smoke as a base for reference : http://www.brusheezy.com/brushes/1830-real-smoke-photoshop-brushes then I wanted to make the skeleton in the smoke, so i just used a regular low opacity brush and eraser and mimicked the pattern into the shape I wanted! :)
