Some Portraits, Illustrations and Bioshock Infinite!

So happy that it's summer! Even with the full time internship there's so much more time for drawing, and more importantly, sleeping! Lots of sleeping.

Here are a few things that I've done over the last month!

Portraits:

A portrait of my Uncle Mike for his birthday, and a portrait of Margaery Tyrell from Game of Thrones (played by the lovely Natalie Dormer)

Illustrations:

Some quick high school newspaper illustrations for my cousin Lizzy! The first story was on internet culture and the second was on party culture.

A birthday present for that same awesome cousin who wanted a poster design with the logo of her  college.
Then a commission in which I was asked to create a blend of Disney's Cinderella and Tarantino's Kill Bill (so much fun to do)

Bioshock Infinite:

I played Bioshock Infinite with my friends not too long ago and loved it! The storyline, the characters, and the gorgeous setting all combined to make an emotionally traumatic game. (which is a very, very good thing) So I drew one of the main characters Elizabeth to get out my feelings for the game!

Hope you're all having an awesome summer so far!

Montage, Pitches and a Portrait

PHEW, it's been a long few weeks! I just finished my montage for Concept II, I had lots of fun with this one because it was the first SAD piece I've done. (I think for now I'll stick with somewhat happier concepts)

Aaand here are the three drawings I did for my montage pitch:

And lastly, a portrait I drew for my dad for his 51st birthday! I think he stalks my blog sometimes, so Hi dad! I love you!

yes he has hippie hair. and yes you should be jealous.

Zombies, Damsels and Lovesick Teens

Designing a lot of characters and whatnot for Concept and CA! Lots of fun!

Two Story Pitches for Concept II, both based on fairytales, Thumbelina and Sleeping Beauty! The class told me to go with Sleeping Beauty for the animatic!

So character designs ensued!

Computer Animation Sit/Stand Ideas:

(girl get's bitten by a zombie, sits down and dies, then reanimates as a zombie and shuffles away)

(Lovesick teenager is grounded and can't go out to see her beloved, then a rock hits her window. She sees him down below and climbs out of the window)

I wanted to do a zombie walk, but my teacher picked the teen. Excited to model her though!

Just need to do a turn around of her and model her in sculpey, yay! (oh and model, rig, animate and render her in maya, yeah that too)

Cafe Sketches

Finally decided to take some time to scan and compile cafe sketches from the last couple of months!

First off we have my mom's fabulous knitting buddies:

Some airport sketches:

People at the mall (there were some of saxophonist kids at the mall playing holiday tunes, they were so suave):

People waiting in line at the Panera:

Doodling my friends on the back of a Steak-and-Shake menu (and also just more cafe sketches):

Have an awesome weekend everybody!
